Case study of a false breakout 20160310.



Qualified candle immediately follow the breaking bar for a good breakout:
  • Open above the supply line.
  • High > high of the breaking bar.
  • Close above the supply line.
If any one of these three things occurred, do not enter the position. If already entered, cut loss immediately.

In the S11 fifteen minute chart above, the long red bar following the breaking bar failed all three qualifications.
