Seventeen years ago (December 6th, 2001), IPO shares of PTT were distributed to the public through branches of 5 commercial banks. The shares were sold out within a few minutes. The big crowd of people lined up in front of the banks for hours did not get the shares. Most of them are now still think that the distribution process was unfair. The fact for this case was that they did not understand the IPO process and stock investment in general. The chart above shows that they had 9 months to buy PTT at lower price than people who managed to get the shares on that day.
Most IPO stocks need time months or even years to build up their share prices. If the stocks were good ones, you could always buy them later on. Stop blaming others for your own ignorance.
