Profit locking is a good way to secure some or all of the money already earned from a stock trading. In the above photo, I relate the scales of earned profit locking to corresponding broken down-trends at the time of new entries. These are just rough targets. Other technical considerations such as nearby moving average resistances, degree of oversold conditions as well as trading volume, must also be applied in real case-by-case situations.
Other possible profit locking methods include tracking of higher lows, correction magnitude from higher highs, or failure from up-trend simple moving averages.
