Roles of volume surges in FB daily price movements 20150825

In this post, I study roles of trading volume surges in FB daily HA chart as of 20150825 to see share price movements after each surge. From left to right of the chart below, volume surges and following price movements are:
  • red day, vol/vol(5)=185%, price down trend
  • green day, vol/vol(5)=189%, price up then side-way consolidation
  • green day, vol/vol(5)=164%, price up then side-way consolidation
  • green day, vol/vol(5)=171%, price up then side-way consolidation
  • green day, vol/vol(5)=165%, price up then side-way consolidation
  • red day, vol/vol(5)=167%, price side-way consolidation
  • red day, vol/vol(5)=179%, price historically plunge down
